Course Description:

- This course aims at discussing mission in contemporary times. It seeks to answer the following question: "What is mission in globalized, diverse and plural world?’ The discussion begins the reality of pluralism in our time, followed by a discussion of approaches to pluralism. Then proposed vision of alternative response to pluralism will conclude the first part of the course. The second part is a discussion of mission in a pluralist world. The discussion will focus on the following:

- a) "mono-culturality and autonomous identities,"

- b) "mission as crossing borders,"

- c) "building communities across difference."

The course will conclude with recommendations for further study on mission in contemporary times.
