Religion ‘comes before love’ says survey

The poll by Social Weather Stations asked respondents: “In case you and your loved one do not have the same religion, would you change your religion in the name of love?”

Results showed that 50 percent said they would “definitely not change” and a further 18 percent would “likely not change.”

Among Catholics, the result was the same as among all religions.

“Unwillingness to change their religion in the name of love is strongest among Muslims, with 56 percent who would definitely not change, and 17 percent likely not to change their religion for their loved ones,” the poll stated.
